Company Description Peacechat is India’s first Relationship & Emotional Support App, founded by Rishabh Jain, that connects users with empathetic listeners, dating coaches, relationship experts, influencers, and celebrities. The platform focuses on accessible one-to-one chat and call sessions, offering emotional support and guidance for relationship and personal challenges. Peacechat aims to create a safe, non-judgmental space where users can openly share their concerns and receive compassionate responses. As the company grows, it is building a diverse team of professionals and interns who are passionate about mental health, emotional well-being, and innovative digital support solutions.
Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Psychology Intern at Peacechat. The intern will support the team in providing empathetic, evidence-informed emotional support to users via chat or call, under appropriate supervision. Day-to-day tasks may include assisting in developing psychoeducational content, contributing to user support guidelines, and participating in case discussions or review sessions. The intern will help with basic psychological research, documentation of user interactions (without breaching confidentiality), and continuous improvement of support practices. The role involves collaborating with mentors, attending training sessions, and applying psychological principles to enhance user experience and well-being.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge in Psychology and interest in applying psychological concepts in real-world, digital support settings.
Basic understanding of Mental Health and wellbeing, with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal interaction, active listening, and empathy.
Exposure to or coursework in Psychological Testing, with the ability to learn and follow ethical guidelines for assessment and feedback.
Background or ongoing studies in Education, counseling, clinical psychology, or related fields is beneficial.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Openness to supervision, feedback, and continuous learning in the areas of relationships, emotional support, and digital mental health.
