Prompt Engineer

Role Description The Prompt Engineer at Wiser Educação will design, test, and refine prompts for AI-powered educational tools and content. This part-time, remote role involves collaborating with instructional designers, developers, and product teams to understand learning goals and translate them into effective prompt structures and workflows. Daily tasks include analyzing model outputs, documenting best practices, creating prompt libraries, and optimizing prompts for accuracy, clarity, inclusiveness, and pedagogical effectiveness. The role also includes monitoring performance metrics, running experiments, and providing guidance to colleagues on how to use prompts to enhance educational products. The Prompt Engineer is expected to communicate findings clearly, maintain organized documentation, and continuously explore new techniques for improving AI-assisted learning experiences.
Qualifications
Ability to design, test, and refine prompts for large language models and other generative AI systems, with attention to clarity, bias reduction, and educational effectiveness.
Strong analytical and research skills, including the ability to run small experiments, interpret data, and iterate based on evidence.
Excellent written communication skills in en_US, with the ability to tailor tone and complexity to different learner profiles and educational contexts.
Comfort working with digital tools and platforms, such as collaborative document editors, project management systems, and AI interfaces.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and collaborate asynchronously with cross-functional teams.
Understanding of basic pedagogy or instructional design principles is highly beneficial.
Experience in edtech, software, data, or content development roles is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field (such as Education, Linguistics, Computer Science, Psychology, or related areas).
Curiosity about AI, commitment to ethical and inclusive use of technology, and willingness to learn new tools and methods.
