Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an IT Support Specialist | System & Network Administrator located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to users, managing IT infrastructure, maintaining computer systems and networks, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
The role involves system administration, network monitoring, user support, IT asset management, software installation and configuration, network troubleshooting, and coordination with internal teams and service providers to ensure reliable and secure IT operations.

Key Responsibilities
Provide first-level and second-level IT support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment
Manage and maintain Windows operating systems, user accounts, software, and system configurations
Monitor and troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, VPN, and network-related issues
Configure and maintain network devices such as switches, routers, access points, and firewalls
Support administration of Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, and access controls
Perform software installation, updates, patching, and system configuration
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems in a timely manner
Maintain IT assets, inventory records, warranties, licenses, and equipment allocation
Assist with data backup, system recovery, and basic disaster recovery procedures
Monitor system and network performance and escalate critical issues when required
Maintain documentation for IT infrastructure, configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and support activities
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for hardware, software, networking, and maintenance requirements
Support cybersecurity practices including antivirus, endpoint security, access management, and system updates
Assist with setup and maintenance of servers, network infrastructure, and shared resources
Provide technical support during installation, configuration, and deployment of new IT systems
Ensure IT systems are maintained in accordance with organizational policies and security practices
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma / BE / B.Tech / B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or related field (Mandatory)
1–3 years of relevant experience in IT support, system administration, or network administration
Strong hands-on experience in desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, system administration, and network troubleshooting
Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, computer hardware, and software installation
Familiarity with Active Directory, user management, permissions, and Windows administration
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic network troubleshooting
Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, access points, and network devices
Familiarity with basic server administration and network monitoring
Ability to troubleshoot printers, scanners, peripherals, and other IT equipment
Knowledge of antivirus, endpoint security, system updates, and basic cybersecurity practices
Experience with IT asset management and technical documentation
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 / Office applications is an added advantage
Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures is preferred
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, Microsoft, or equivalent are an added advantage
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to provide technical support to users with varying levels of technical knowledge
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
