Role Description This part-time remote Human Resources Director role is responsible for leading and overseeing all core HR functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements. The Human Resources Director will design, implement, and update HR policies and procedures, while providing guidance to leadership and staff on HR matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing employee relations, advising on performance management practices, and supporting recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives. The role also involves monitoring labor and employment law changes, overseeing risk mitigation related to HR, and partnering with senior leadership on workforce planning and organizational development. The Human Resources Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain HR metrics and reporting, and foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work culture in a virtual environment.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in Human Resources (HR) leadership, including strategic HR planning and operational oversight.
Strong knowledge of HR Policies and procedures, with the ability to develop, implement, and continuously refine policy frameworks.
Proficiency in Employee Relations, including conflict resolution, coaching, and supporting a respectful, inclusive workplace.
Experience with Performance Management processes, such as goal setting, feedback, evaluations, and development plans.
Solid understanding of Labor and Employment Law, with proven ability to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise senior leadership and collaborate across remote teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including use of HR metrics and reporting to inform decisions.
Experience in remote or distributed work environments and comfort with HRIS and collaboration tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR) are beneficial.
