Role Description The Fashion Designer role at Wild Paw Ventures LLP is a freelancing, remote position focused on supporting the design and development of Roar’s athletic apparel collections. Day-to-day responsibilities include conceptualizing and sketching designs, developing mood boards and design stories, and selecting appropriate textiles, trims, and finishes that reflect brand standards. The Fashion Designer will collaborate with product development, production, and marketing teams to refine silhouettes, ensure accurate fittings, and translate design concepts into technical specifications and samples. Additional tasks include incorporating embroidery and graphic elements, monitoring trends in performance and lifestyle fashion, and ensuring all designs align with brand aesthetics, quality expectations, and sustainability goals.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Fashion Design and Fashion skills, including concept development, sketching, and creating cohesive collections.
Candidates should possess expertise in Textiles, with an understanding of performance fabrics, sustainable materials, and appropriate applications for athletic wear.
Candidates should possess skills in Fitting, with experience refining garment construction, fit, and comfort for a range of body types and movement needs.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Embroidery and surface embellishment, ensuring design details enhance functionality and brand identity.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CLO or similar 3D tools) and creating technical flats and spec sheets.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment.
Attention to detail, time-management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects within tight deadlines.
Relevant education in Fashion Design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in performance or sportswear design.
