Compensation: No fixed monthly salary. Payment is made after successful completion of the assigned project, based on the agreed project compensation.
About the Role:
VertexQuantumAI is building a network of experienced AI/LLM developers who can work with us on client projects.
This is not a salaried/full-time position at this stage. Developers will be engaged when a client project is secured and will work as part of the VertexQuantumAI delivery team for that project.
There is no upfront payment. Compensation will be agreed before the project starts and paid after successful completion/delivery of the agreed project scope and receipt of the corresponding client payment.
We are looking for developers who are comfortable with project-based work and want to build a long-term association with an AI services company.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop production-ready LLM and Generative AI solutions for business use cases
Build RAG-based applications and AI agents
Integrate LLMs with business applications, APIs, databases and existing systems
Develop document-processing and knowledge-retrieval pipelines
Implement function/tool calling and AI workflows
Design prompts and improve LLM response quality
Perform LLM evaluation and testing
Work with vector databases and embeddings
Build and integrate AI services using Python
Collaborate with the full-stack developer and technical lead
Debug, test and optimize AI applications
Write clean, maintainable and production-ready code
Participate in technical discussions and client-project delivery when required
Required Skills Core:
2–5 years of relevant software/AI experience
Strong Python programming
Practical experience with LLM applications
RAG architecture
Embeddings
Vector databases
Prompt engineering
Function/tool calling
AI agents
LLM evaluation
Document processing
REST APIs and integrations
LLM / AI Frameworks
Experience with one or more of:
LangChain
LangGraph
LlamaIndex
Equivalent AI/agent frameworks
LLM Providers
Practical experience integrating one or more:
OpenAI
Anthropic
Google Gemini
Other commercial or open-source LLMs
Additional
Basic Hugging Face knowledge
Git/GitHub
API development and integration
Basic understanding of cloud deployment
Fine-Tuning / Model Training
Experience with the following is an advantage, not mandatory:

What We Expect
We are looking for someone who can actually build and deliver working AI solutions, not someone with only theoretical knowledge.
You should be able to take a requirement such as:
Business problem → AI architecture → RAG/Agent → API integration → testing → working solution
and contribute directly to implementation.
Candidates should be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned deliverables.
Compensation Model:
This is a project-based commission/revenue-share engagement.
No fixed monthly salary
No upfront payment
No payment for simply being available
You will be assigned to projects when suitable client work is available
Compensation will be agreed before starting each project
Payment will be made after successful completion of the agreed deliverables and after the corresponding client payment is received by VertexQuantumAI
The exact compensation will depend on project scope, complexity and your responsibilities
