Job description
Role Title NetBackup Administrator
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced NetBackup Administrator with 5 to 8 years of handson experience in enterprise backup and recovery environments The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in VeritasCohesity NetBackup Administration backup architecture Dell EMC Data Domain integration disaster recovery troubleshooting and infrastructure support across largescale enterprise environments
Key Responsibilities
Administer configure and maintain VeritasCohesity NetBackup environments
Manage backup policies schedules retention policies and storage lifecycle management
Perform backup and recovery for databases virtual machines file systems and enterprise applications
Integrate and administer Dell EMC Data Domain storage targets
Monitor backup jobs troubleshoot failures and perform root cause analysis
Support NetBackup upgrades patching migrations and platform enhancements
Execute disaster recovery drills and recovery testing activities
Monitor platform performance capacity utilisation and SLA compliance
Create operational documentation SOPs and technical reports
Collaborate with server database storage cloud and application teams
Participate in incident problem and change management processes
Provide L2L3 support and participate in oncall rotations
Required Skills
Strong handson experience in VeritasCohesity NetBackup Administration
Experience with backup architecture retention policies deduplication replication and recovery strategies
Knowledge of NetBackup Appliances and Flex Appliances
Experience with Dell EMC Data Domain administration and DD Boost integration
Expertise in backup troubleshooting job monitoring and performance tuning
Good understanding of VMware Windows and Linux environments
Knowledge of disaster recovery business continuity and cyber recovery concepts
Familiarity with scripting using PowerShell Python or Shell scripting
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with OpsCenter IT Analytics reporting tools
Exposure to Commvault Cohesity or other enterprise backup platforms
Knowledge of SAN NAS and cloud storage platforms
Experience in automation and infrastructureascode practices
ITIL Foundation or relevant Backup Administration certifications
Exposure to banking or large enterprise environments
