About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SAP BW Consultant with 5–6 years of hands-on experience in SAP Business Warehouse development, implementation, enhancement, and support. The consultant will be responsible for developing and maintaining BW data models, ETL processes, reports, and data flows, while working closely with functional and technical teams to deliver reliable reporting and analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SAP BW data models and data flows.
Develop and maintain InfoObjects, ADSOs, CompositeProviders, Open ODS Views, Transformations, and DTPs.
Design and implement ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data from SAP and non-SAP sources.
Work with DataSources, Extractors, ODP, and related BW data extraction mechanisms.
Develop and optimize BW queries using BEx Query Designer / relevant BW query tools.
Analyze and resolve BW data loading, transformation, reporting, and performance-related issues.
Perform data validation and reconciliation between source systems and BW.
Monitor data loads and troubleshoot failed or delayed process chains.
Develop and maintain process chains and automate data-loading processes.
Participate in performance tuning of BW queries, data loads, and data models.
Work with business and functional teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical BW solutions.
Prepare technical specifications, development documentation, and support documentation.
Provide production support and participate in incident and problem resolution.
Coordinate with SAP functional teams such as SAP FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, etc., as required for data extraction and reporting.
Participate in testing, deployment, and post-go-live support activities.
Required Technical Skills
5–6 years of hands-on experience in SAP BW/BW on HANA.
Strong understanding of SAP BW architecture and data warehousing concepts.

Good knowledge of SAP BW extraction and ETL processes.
Experience with ODP-based extraction and SAP standard extractors.
Good understanding of ABAP, particularly for BW routines, debugging, and data extraction-related requirements.
Experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of SAP HANA concepts and SQL is preferred.
Experience working with SAP BW/4HANA will be an advantage.
Preferred Skills
Experience integrating BW with SAP S/4HANA.
Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BusinessObjects, or Power BI.
Experience with BW modernization or migration projects.
Knowledge of HANA views and SQLScript.
Experience working in implementation, rollout, enhancement, and production-support projects.
Good understanding of data quality, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
Functional / Business Skills
Ability to understand business reporting requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to independently troubleshoot technical issues.
Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to work effectively with functional consultants, developers, business users, and offshore/onshore teams.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
SAP BW certification would be an advantage but is not mandatory.
