Role Description The Quality Engineer (Civil) is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, responsible for ensuring that construction activities meet defined quality standards and project specifications. The role involves monitoring and inspecting civil works, materials, and workmanship, documenting test results, and maintaining quality records. The Quality Engineer will develop and implement quality plans, coordinate with site engineers and contractors, and support compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. Daily tasks include conducting site audits, reviewing drawings and method statements, verifying corrective actions, and reporting quality-related issues to project management. The role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, supports safety and regulatory compliance, and collaborates with stakeholders to prevent defects and rework.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Quality Engineering and Quality Management for civil construction projects.
Hands-on experience with Quality Control activities, including inspections, testing, and documentation.
Knowledge of Quality Assurance processes, procedures, and standards applicable to civil works.
Ability to assess and maintain Product Quality in materials, concrete works, structural elements, and finishes.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Familiarity with relevant building codes, IS standards, and industry best practices.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills, with attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with site teams, contractors, and clients.
Experience with MS Office and basic construction quality documentation tools; exposure to QA/QC software is an advantage.
