This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a (Senior) Product Engineer (Backend) (m/f/d) based in Spain.
Join a product-focused engineering team building AI-powered experiences for frontline employees across retail, manufacturing, and logistics.
You will take deep ownership of backend systems while staying connected to the complete user journey and product experience.
The role combines backend engineering, SaaS development, product thinking, and practical use of AI-powered development tools.
You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across backend, frontend, mobile, and AI.
Rather than simply implementing predefined tickets, you will help understand user problems, shape solutions, prototype ideas, and measure their impact.
The environment values curiosity, adaptability, engineering judgment, and continuous learning as software development evolves through AI.
You will have the support and autonomy to expand your technical scope while becoming an increasingly product-minded, AI-enabled engineer.
