Manager, Delivery Management oversees the delivery of technology projects and coordinates with senior leadership, stakeholders, and other technical teams to drive successful project outcomes and implement best practices.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and practices
Knowledge of Project Management
Knowledge of Technology Delivery
Knowledge of Agile management tools such as Jira, Rally, or similar platforms
Work Experience:
8 – 12 Years of Experience in project management, delivery management, or a related job within the technology sector
Experience in leading and mentoring technology delivery teams
Experience in working in an Agile/Scrum environment
Experience in application design, software development, and automated testing
Experience in distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
Experience in Agile software development methodologies and practices such as Scrum/Kanban, iterations, user stories
Experience in automation testing and documentation (i.e., automated, functional, and performance)
Experience with Application Programming Interface (APIs), RESTful services, and middleware platforms
Licenses and Certifications:
Certification in SPC (SAFe Program Consultant), SA (SAFe Agilist), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), or PMP (Project Management Professional) is a plus
Oversees the planning, development, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring they meet business requirements, timelines, and quality standards, and align with strategic goals
Leads the facilitation of Program Increment (PI) Planning meetings with leadership, product management teams, delivery teams, and business partners
Collaborates with stakeholders to define project goals, requirements, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility
Leads solution design discussions that provide technical oversight and adheres to Enterprise Architecture standards on complex APIs and/or application integrations
Orchestrates breakdown of work, sequencing, assignment of tasks, and scheduling multiple work streams
Manages change control and escalation handling in project/s
Proposes solutions to overcome delivery impediments; supports issues resolution through creative solutions
Manages impediments, risks, dependencies, and resourcing needs across stakeholders and senior leadership
May or may not manage and lead a team of Technology Delivery colleagues, enabling a culture of continuous learning, growth opportunities, and inclusivity for all individual colleagues and teams
May or may not provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to Technology Delivery teams, supporting training and development of best practices
Collaborates with senior leadership to hire top talent for the team, ensuring a high-functioning and cohesive unit, implementing strategies for talent retention and professional development
Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives
Establishes integrated release plans that align dependencies and milestones across teams, trains, and external partners
