Business Analyst – Manufacturing / Supply Chain / B2B Retail

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, B2B Retail, and E-commerce. The candidate will be responsible for understanding business and customer requirements, translating them into functional solutions, preparing business and functional documentation, and working closely with engineering, architecture, product, and client teams to deliver scalable technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from customers, stakeholders, and business teams.
Prepare high-quality Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Bring 6–8 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, B2B Retail, Retail, E-commerce, or ERP environments.
Understand the SDLC lifecycle for web and mobile applications across Retail, Manufacturing, ERP, and Supply Chain domains.
Conduct client workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, discovery meetings, and stakeholder discussions.
Translate business requirements into functional solutions and clearly communicate them to technology and engineering teams.
Work with Tech Leads, Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, and Engineering Managers to define solution approaches and evaluate alternatives.
Document solution options, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and pros and cons to support architectural decisions.
Prepare detailed functional and integration design documents required for application and system integrations.
Analyze functional solutions to identify potential bottlenecks, dependencies, gaps, and non-functional requirements.
Create wireframes, process flows, user journeys, user stories, and acceptance criteria within Agile/Scrum environments.
Track Epics, Features, User Stories, and delivery activities using Jira or similar ticketing tools.
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for customers, stakeholders, business teams, and internal teams.
Demonstrate strong understanding of Retail/E-commerce, BOM, ERP, Supply Chain, and Salesforce applications.
Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, insights, and potential business opportunities.
Work closely with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and recommend appropriate IT solutions.
Manage scope changes, expectations, negotiations, risks, and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure solutions align with the enterprise technology vision and roadmap.
Support Marketing and Sales / Pre-Sales activities, including customer presentations, solution demonstrations, requirement discussions, and proposal inputs.
Help transform customer requirements and business vision into effective software products and applications.
Domain & Technology Experience
Strong domain experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, B2B Retail, Retail, or E-commerce.
Experience working with mobile and web applications across Retail, Manufacturing, ERP, and Supply Chain.
Experience with SaaS-based platforms and enterprise applications.
Exposure to platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Intershop, and Dell Boomi is preferred.
Experience with Salesforce applications and CRM solutions.
Good understanding of ERP, CPQ, PLM, and E-commerce platforms.
Exposure to ERP platforms such as Oracle is preferred.
Experience working with BOM (Bill of Materials) applications is an advantage.
Business Analysis & Data Skills
Strong requirements engineering skills with experience in BRD, FRD/functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to convert business requirements into actionable technology solutions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, advanced formulas, and data analysis.
Experience with Power BI or Tableau for reporting and data visualization.
Ability to analyze business data and derive actionable insights and business opportunities.
Agile & Project Management
Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience with Jira or similar project/ticketing management tools.
Understanding of SDLC, Agile ceremonies, backlog management, Epic/Feature/User Story management, and delivery processes.
Ability to manage changing requirements and support scope, risk, dependency, and stakeholder management.
Process, Risk & Controls
Understanding of business processes, internal controls, risk management, and quality assurance/auditing.
Exposure to frameworks such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) and COSO is preferred.
Ability to identify process gaps, risks, dependencies, and control requirements.
