Position Title: Design Engineer I/ II (SolidWorks)
Experience: 2-5 Years
Work Location: Hyderabad
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Design Engineer (SolidWorks), located in Hyderabad. The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing Mechanical Components, systems, products using CAD Software like SolidWorks / AutoCAD / UGNX. Apply in-depth knowledge of manufacturing techniques including sheet metal, plastics, casting, and fabrication.
Job Description:
Design Mechanical Components, systems, products using CAD Softwares like SolidWorks and UG-NX.
Create detailed technical drawings, specifications and 3D Models.
Develop electrical schematics (2D) and cable routing (3D) (Preferred MS Visio and SolidWorks)
Conduct feasibility studies including material selections, cost estimation etc.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment with project requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Preferred Candidate:
Proficient in CAD, particularly SolidWorks.
Deep understanding of manufacturing feasibility and process planning.
Experience in part and product simulation.
Familiarity with GD&T standards and applications.
Essential Skill set:
Good engineering fundamental knowledge
Good knowledge on drawing Standards (ISO, ANSI/ASME)
2+ years of hands-on experience on SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Unigraphics (UG-NX).
Hands on experience on Sheet metal & Plastic design.
Good knowledge on any PLM, preferably Teamcenter.
Product development and engineering change management process knowledge.
Capability to understand/ apply GD&T and Tolerance Stack-up analysis
Able to work on global product development projects independently.
Able to manage his/her deliverables and clearly communicate with client
Excellent problem solving and time management skills
