Principal Engineer, Analytical & Characterization Engineering

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking an experienced Lean Six Sigma Black Belt to lead high-impact continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain functions. This role will drive operational excellence through structured problem solving, data analytics, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and capability building across the organization.
Lead cross-functional Six Sigma projects using DMAIC methodology.
Drive improvements in yield, productivity, cycle time, quality, OEE, and cost.
Perform advanced statistical analysis and root cause investigations.
Facilitate Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and other related activities/workshops to promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Coach and mentor Green Belts and project teams to build organizational capability.
Partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize strategic improvement opportunities.
Track project benefits and ensure sustainable results.
Ensure alignment of projects with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
The subject matter expert in Lean Six Sigma training development and consultant to other department on tool application.
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field.
Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
8+ years of experience in semiconductor, electronics, HDD/SSD, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DOE, SPC, MSA, and statistical analysis tools.
Strong stakeholder management, coaching, and communication skills.
Experience leading complex cross-functional projects with measurable business impact.
Preferred:
Master Black Belt or PMP certification.
Experience with Industry 4.0, AI-enabled analytics, digital manufacturing, or predictive quality systems.
Experience coaching Green Belt certification projects.
Skills:
Added advantages if experienced in conducting any Lean Six Sigma related training titles (TTT certified by HRDF if possible).
