5G Layer 2 Developer

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain 5G NR Layer 2 protocols – MAC, RLC, and PDCP
• Work on MAC scheduling, resource allocation, and QoS
• Debug Layer 2 issues using logs, traces, Wireshark, and protocol analyzers
• Collaborate with L1 and L3 teams for end-to-end feature integration
• Ensure compliance with 3GPP 5G NR specifications
• Participate in system design, code reviews, and performance optimization
• Work on throughput, latency, and RAN reliability improvements
• Support field testing, interoperability testing, and customer issue resolution
Required Skills
• Strong understanding of 5G NR architecture and protocol stack
• Good knowledge of 3GPP Rel-15/16/17
• Hands-on experience in 5G NR Layer 2 (MAC/RLC/PDCP) development
• Strong proficiency in C/C++, including multi-threading and concurrency
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Wireshark, protocol analyzers, and log analysis tools
• Proficiency in Git, Jenkins (CI/CD), and JIRA
• Experience with TM500, UE simulators, QXDM/QCAT is a plus
