Rabbit Games partners with leading studios around the world to help deliver high quality console and PC titles. We work across AAA and high-end AA projects, supporting game teams with engineering, art, design, and production expertise. Our team is fully remote, with developers based across Europe and beyond, and we are focused on building long-term partnerships and exceptional game experiences.
We are looking for a highly specialised rendering expert with deep knowledge of graphics pipelines, shaders, lighting systems, and rendering performance. This is not a general gameplay engineering role, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing and optimising rendering systems in modern game engines.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimise advanced real-time rendering systems in C++ game engine
Work on lighting, shading, materials, and rendering pipelines to deliver high-quality visuals
Build and maintain internal rendering tools and workflows to support artists and technical teams
Collaborate closely with graphics programmers, technical artists, and art teams to deliver visually outstanding features
Analyse and improve rendering performance across multiple platforms
Implement new rendering techniques and contribute to engine-level improvements
Support the development of scalable systems that meet the visual and performance goals of a large AAA production
Requirements:
3+ years of professional experience in game development or real-time graphics
Minimum 2+ years focused specifically on rendering engineering
Deep understanding of real-time rendering pipelines, shaders, lighting systems, and materials
Experience developing graphics features and rendering optimisations for modern hardware
Strong programming skills in C++
Experience building internal tools and workflows for artists and technical teams
Excellent communication skills and strong spoken and written English
Nice to Have:
Experience working on A+ console or PC titles
Knowledge of modern rendering techniques (PBR, global illumination, ray tracing, etc.)
Experience contributing to engine-level graphics systems
Experience working within large, distributed development teams
