Marketing & E-Commerce Cost Controller (12 months)

As a Marketing & E-Commerce Cost Controller EMEA, you will support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to support the growth of our digital and marketing operations while ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial performance.
Your main responsibilities
1. Manage Financial Closings (Monthly & Annual)
Calculate and record accruals and provisions, ensuring cost consistency and accuracy.
Monitor and analyze OPEX budget variances (actuals vs. forecast and budget).
Maintain and update tracking files (OPEX, marketing, projects).
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including provision justifications.
2. Drive Forecasting and Budgeting Processes
Prepare and consolidate forecasting and budgeting files.
Communicate guidelines and coordinate the budgeting process with managers (approximately 10 stakeholders, including European market leaders and e-commerce project managers).
Support teams with data input, scenario modeling, and financial simulations.
Consolidate, validate, and report financial data within company systems and reporting tools.
3. Manage and Maintain Financial Structures & Tools
Create and update Cost Centers, Internal Orders, and Project Codes within SAP and internal systems.
Provide guidance to teams on financial allocations (G/L accounts, Cost Centers, Internal Orders, and P&L impacts).
Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting tools, and monitoring systems.
4. Monitor EMEA E-commerce Activities
Manage and track multiple budget areas supporting the growth of the Salomon.com business, including freight, marketing investments, and new projects.
Build and monitor the P&L of our Marketplace business with external partners.
Perform monthly variance analyses and proactively flag financial risks or deviations.
Ensure financial consistency and compliance with SOX requirements through proper documentation and controls.
5. Monitor EMEA Marketing Activities (Winter Sports Distribution)
Track marketing expenditures across European subsidiaries, supporting managers in optimizing and controlling their budgets.
Ensure compliance with budgeting guidelines across business teams.
Prepare monthly variance analyses and management commentary for the regional leadership team.
Monitor and manage the budget allocated to product samples used by European subsidiaries.
Technical Skills
A previous experience in a Financial Controller role, including financial closing, forecasting, and P&L analysis
Strong command of financial systems and tools, particularly SAP and advanced Excel
Fluent English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with international teams on a daily basis
