Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Biology Teacher role based at Sri Chaitanya Techno School in Chennai. The Biology Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum, ensuring clear learning objectives and measurable outcomes. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching theory and practical concepts, supervising laboratory activities, assessing student performance, and providing constructive feedback. The role also involves maintaining accurate academic records, participating in staff meetings, communicating regularly with parents or guardians, and supporting students’ preparation for school examinations and competitive tests. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Qualifications
Strong subject expertise in Biology and a proven ability to teach biological concepts clearly and accurately.
Experience with Lesson Planning and curriculum implementation, including designing classroom and laboratory activities.
Background as a Qualified Teacher, with formal training or certification in education or teaching methodologies.
Effective Teaching skills, including classroom management, student engagement, and differentiation for varied learning needs.
Excellent Communication skills for interacting with students, colleagues, and parents or guardians.
Relevant academic qualification (e.g., Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology or related field); B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
Comfort with using basic educational technology and digital tools to support instruction and assessment.
