Purpose
- Why does this role exist?
An R&D Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth
day to day functioning of an R&D by managing administrative tasks,
coordinating communication, and supporting R&D Labs.
Key
Responsibilities
1. Administrative Support
Manage
daily office operations and procedures
Handle
correspondence (emails, letters, phone calls)
Maintain
filing systems (digital and physical)
Schedule
meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
2. Office Management
Monitor
office and lab supplies and place orders when needed
Ensure
proper maintenance of office equipment
Coordinate
with vendors, service providers, and housekeeping
3. Documentation & Records
Prepare
reports, presentations, and documents
Maintain
employee records and company databases
Ensure
accurate data entry and documentation
4. Communication & Coordination
Act
as a point of contact between departments and external stakeholders like
IITB Research Park Office etc.
Assist
in internal communication and coordination
Support
HR or finance teams with basic administrative tasks
5. Financial & Administrative Tasks
Handle
invoices, billing, and expense tracking (basic level)
Support
budgeting or procurement activities if required
6. Compliance & Organization
Ensure
adherence to company policies and procedures
Maintain
confidentiality of sensitive information
Required Skills & Qualifications
B.Sc./B.E./B.Tech with Office Admin experience of
minimum 5 years.
Competencies
1.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
2.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
3.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook)
4.
Basic knowledge of office management systems and
procedures
