Role Description The Practice Leader – Data is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara, responsible for leading data-focused initiatives within the firm’s consulting and assurance practices. This role involves overseeing data analysis and analytics projects, defining data management standards, and ensuring data modeling approaches support client and internal decision-making. The Practice Leader will collaborate with partners and teams to design and implement data strategies, translate business requirements into analytical frameworks, and present actionable insights to stakeholders. Daily responsibilities include guiding data professionals, validating data quality, optimizing data workflows, and contributing to thought leadership in data-driven solutions. The role also involves engaging with clients, understanding their data challenges, and recommending practical, compliant, and scalable data solutions.
ROLE PURPOSE
Owns the full client relationship lifecycle for Data engagements — discovery, scoping, delivery oversight, and account stewardship — while directing automation and AI solution delivery through a 13-member team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Client Front-Ending (Primary Mandate): CXO-level discovery, scoping, escalation handling, commercial conversations
- Account Stewardship: proactive engagement cadence, SLA tracking, risk surfacing before escalation
- Delivery Oversight: directs team output against commitments made to client
- Team Leadership: mentors 13-member team on-site — coaching, stand-ups, delivery reviews
- Technical Governance: working fluency in automation/AI to validate solutions before client sign-off
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Willingness to work on-site full-time at Mumbai or Vadodara; travel for client visits as required
- Proven senior client-facing consulting track record — requirement gathering, CXO stakeholder management,
commercial negotiation
- 7+ years working exposure to Automation
- Working exposure to the AI model landscape (LLMs, agentic AI, ML)
- Team management experience (10+ team size)
- Professional English proficiency, client-presentation ready
PREFERRED / ADD-ON
- Exposure to the SAP ecosystem
- Prior experience in a consulting-firm environment (boutique / mid-size consulting or systems integrator background)
HIRING & PEOPLE AUTHORITY
- Independent authority to hire any role below Practice Leader level within the Data vertical
- Compensation for each sub-hire mutually decided
