Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Engineer – Water Treatment role based in Chennai. The Project Engineer will support end-to-end execution of water and wastewater treatment projects, including reviewing designs, preparing technical documentation, and coordinating with cross-functional engineering teams. Daily responsibilities include project planning and scheduling, monitoring progress against milestones, and ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards. The role involves on-site supervision of installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities, as well as working with vendors, contractors, and client representatives to resolve technical issues. The Project Engineer will also participate in testing and performance validation of treatment systems, assist with operator training, and contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery and plant performance.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering and Project Management skills relevant to water and wastewater treatment projects.
Candidates should possess Project Planning skills, including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking.
Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering skills applicable to plant equipment, control panels, and automation systems.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical) or a related discipline.
Experience in design, installation, or commissioning of water, wastewater, or sewage treatment plants is highly beneficial.
Knowledge of membrane technologies (RO, UF, NF), pumps, piping, and instrumentation used in treatment systems.
Familiarity with relevant environmental regulations, safety practices, and quality standards.
Ability to work on-site at industrial and municipal facilities, with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
