Position Overview
We, at ScopeSys Innovation, are seeking an experienced and technically strong Java Lead / Technical
Lead who will be responsible for designing robust enterprise solutions, leading development teams, and
driving technical excellence across projects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java-based
technologies, hands-on architectural experience, and the ability to mentor engineers while delivering
scalable, high-performance systems in an Agile environment.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or
equivalent practical experience)
• 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in Java application development
• Prior experience leading technical teams or acting as a module / project technical owner
• Strong experience working in Agile / Scrum environment.
Mandatory Required Skills & Experience
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong, current hands-on experience in the following areas:
• Core Java (JDK 8 or above) with strong fundamentals, multi-threading, and performance
optimization
• Spring Boot, J2EE, JPA / Hibernate, and enterprise application development
• RESTful API design and development, JSON, and service-to-service integrations
• Unit & Integration Testing using JUnit and related frameworks
• Build & CI/CD Tools: Maven, Git, Jenkins
• Database Technologies: JDBC, RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and NoSQL databases such as
Cassandra
• Messaging & Streaming Systems: Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ, or IBM MQ
• Cloud-native development experience, preferably on Microsoft Azure
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and system
architecture
• Experience with scalable, distributed, and low-latency systems
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable Java-based applications and services
• Act as the technical owner for modules or end-to-end solutions
• Define technical architecture, design patterns, and best practices for the team
• Review code, enforce coding standards, and ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions
• Mentor and guide developers through technical problem-solving and skill development
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-impact features
• Drive performance optimization, scalability, and security considerations
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical estimations
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root-cause analysis
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements in tools, frameworks, and processes
