Illustrator

We’re looking for 10 illustrators to work on a new book commissioned by an LGBTI+ human rights organisation.
The book consists of 10 chapters, each requiring a distinct visual style, all inspired by the theme of Alice in Wonderland. Ideally, we’ll work with 10 different artists, one per chapter, although we’re open to one artist taking on two chapters if they can create two clearly distinct visual styles.

Send 3–5 portfolio examples demonstrating the style(s) you have selected.
Tell us which chapter(s) you would like to illustrate.
Email everything to leonardo@novellaeditorial.com with the subject line “Wonderland Illustrations”.
Please also confirm your availability to grant the client perpetual usage rights. You will be able to include the commissioned work in your portfolio, but not use it elsewhere, including on social media.
About the project
The book engages directly with LGBTI+ lives, communities and experiences. We are looking for artists who can approach these subjects with care, respect and an understanding of the diversity of the communities represented.
Submissions will be reviewed during the week of 28 September, with illustrators selected in the first week of October.
