Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Sr Piping Design Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Revit and BIM. The candidate will be responsible for developing piping designs, 3D models, layouts and drawings for engineering projects while coordinating with other disciplines.
Desired Experience
Preparation of isometric routing of piping and ducting with material take off list for installation & commissioning.
Derive Bill of quantities and specifications in consultation with Subject Matter experts in the organization.
Assembly design.
Piping size calculation and selection of instruments, valves and other components based on compatibility.
Implement relevant standards in denoting the piping, valves, instruments,
colour codes on the drawing.
Preparation of plant layouts, sectional views, elevation of the factory and utilities.
Determine root causes of failures and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing/assembly/fabrication methods.
6– 15 years of experience in Piping Design/Engineering.
Mandatory hands-on experience in Revit and BIM.
Strong knowledge of Revit MEP / Piping Modelling.
Good understanding of piping layouts, routing, fittings and components.
Experience in 3D modelling and BIM coordination.
Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
Ability to understand engineering drawings and project specifications.
Good coordination and communication skills.
Experience working on industrial, commercial, infrastructure or MEP projects will be preferred.
Education
BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering or a related discipline.
