Building Management Systems Engineer

Role Description The Building Management Systems Engineer is a full-time hybrid role based in New Delhi, with the flexibility to perform some tasks from home. In this position, the engineer designs, configures, and maintains building management systems, including monitoring and control of HVAC, lighting, security, and other building services. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing technical specifications, programming and commissioning control systems, troubleshooting system issues, and optimizing performance through data analysis and system tuning. The role also involves coordinating with facility management teams, contractors, and vendors, preparing technical documentation, and supporting upgrades, integrations, and ongoing maintenance activities. The engineer is expected to follow safety and compliance standards, contribute to project planning, and provide clear communication to stakeholders regarding system status and improvements.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in Building Management and Building Services, with the ability to oversee and optimize critical building operations.
Hands-on experience with Building Management Systems and related Management Systems, including configuration, monitoring, and integration.
Background in Facility Management (FM), with a strong understanding of maintenance processes, safety standards, and operational workflows.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, electronics, instrumentation) or a related technical discipline.
Proficiency in control systems, sensors, and automation technologies commonly used in modern buildings.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications, and prepare clear system documentation and reports.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability and energy efficiency.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
Prior experience with BMS platforms, SCADA, or similar building automation tools is an advantage.
Willingness to work in a hybrid arrangement from New Delhi, including on-site visits as project and operational needs require.
