Role Description The Research and Development Specialist, Chemistry Educator will contribute to both research activities and teaching responsibilities in the field of chemistry. This full-time on-site role, based in Dehradun, involves designing and conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and developing new methodologies or materials aligned with ongoing research projects. The role includes preparing and delivering chemistry lectures or tutorials, guiding students in laboratory sessions, and supporting them in research-based assignments. The specialist will collaborate with colleagues on R&D initiatives, document and present findings, maintain laboratory safety standards, and participate in academic seminars and departmental meetings.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Research and Development (R&D) and Research skills for designing experiments, formulating hypotheses, and advancing project goals.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for interpreting experimental data, troubleshooting methods, and drawing evidence-based conclusions.
Candidates should possess robust Laboratory Skills for handling instruments, following safety protocols, and performing chemical procedures accurately.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for teaching, preparing academic materials, writing reports or publications, and collaborating with peers.
Master’s degree or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field is preferred; relevant research or teaching experience is highly beneficial.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail in both research and educational activities.
Familiarity with modern laboratory equipment, basic data analysis tools, and current developments in chemical research and pedagogy is an advantage.
