Senior Business Controller - Marketing (m/f/d)

YOUR LEARNING JOURNEY IN THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior FP&A Business Controller to lead financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis for Babbel’s global marketing activities.This role combines strong financial modelling with commercial business partnering. You will help leaders understand what is driving performance, where investment is creating value and where the business should adjust course.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasting and long-range planning for global marketing activities, including financial models, assumptions, drivers, risks and variance analysis.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate performance, investment decisions and opportunities for improvement, and support strategic analyses and business cases.
- Translate financial and operational data into clear KPIs, insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with teams globally to improve the quality, consistency and usefulness of reporting.
- Simplify, standardise and automate planning, reporting and other recurring finance processes.
YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
We think you’ll need the following experience to succeed in the role:
- At least 6 years of experience in Controlling / FP&A, commercial finance, financial analysis or a related field, ideally in a B2C, digital product subscription or SaaS environment.
- Strong track record owning or significantly contributing to budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial modelling and performance analysis.
- Experience partnering with senior leadership in an international, fast paced environment.
- Strong English language skills.

- Structured execution and process improvement: Prioritises effectively, delivers accurate work and looks for ways to simplify, standardise and automate reporting and planning processes.
WAYS OF WORKING
You will work across Finance, Revenue and Data, building trusted relationships with stakeholders in Berlin and New York. The role requires both hands-on analytical depth and the ability to step back, understand the broader business context and make the analysis useful to decision-makers.
