Role Description The Housekeeper role at The Menu is a full-time, on-site position based in Bilaspur. The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, common areas, and service spaces, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces. Daily tasks include making beds, changing linens, managing laundry, restocking supplies, and ensuring that all areas meet cleanliness and safety standards. The role also involves reporting maintenance issues, following established cleaning procedures, and adhering to health and safety guidelines. The Housekeeper may interact with guests to address basic requests, support smooth operations, and uphold The Menu’s service standards.
Qualifications
Ability to perform laundry-related tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and uniforms.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and respond clearly and respectfully to guest requests.
Customer service skills to support a positive guest experience and handle inquiries in a polite and professional manner.
Organization skills to manage cleaning schedules, supplies, and room readiness efficiently.
Experience or aptitude for training, including learning standard operating procedures and helping new team members adapt.
Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform physical housekeeping tasks throughout the shift.
Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
