Information System Security Officer

Role Description The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) will oversee the security posture of information systems and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable standards for Clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing security risks, defining and implementing security controls, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities and incidents, and coordinating responses to security events. The ISSO will collaborate with IT, operations, and management teams to develop security protocols, conduct regular audits, and maintain documentation for security policies, procedures, and incident reports. The role also involves providing security awareness guidance, participating in system design reviews, and recommending improvements to strengthen overall security. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Mumbai, with a combination of on-site work and some work from home.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Information Systems, including system architecture, operating systems, and IT infrastructure management.
Proficiency in Cybersecurity practices, including threat analysis, vulnerability management, and incident response.
Expertise in Information Security principles, policies, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
Knowledge of Physical Security controls and practices related to safeguarding facilities, devices, and sensitive assets.
Hands-on experience with Network Security, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure network design.
Relevant certifications such as ISO 27001 equivalent are highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high ethical standards.
