Role Description The Designer for W1N role at w1ngarments is a full-time remote position responsible for developing apparel designs from concept through final production-ready specifications. Day-to-day tasks include researching trends, creating sketches and digital mockups, selecting fabrics and trims, and refining designs based on feedback from the product and merchandising teams. The designer will collaborate closely with pattern makers, technical designers, and production partners to ensure fit, quality, and manufacturability. The role also involves maintaining brand consistency across collections, preparing design documentation, and participating in virtual design reviews. This position requires proactive communication, strong time management, and the ability to work effectively within a distributed, cross-functional team.
Qualifications
Ability to research fashion and market trends and translate insights into clear design concepts.
Strong skills in sketching and digital design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software).
Knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, and basic pattern and fit principles.
Experience preparing technical design sheets, line drawings, and production-ready specifications.
Attention to detail in color, materials, and trims, with a focus on quality and consistency.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and comfort collaborating in a remote environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and respond constructively to feedback.
Prior experience in apparel or fashion design is preferred; a relevant degree or formal training in fashion design or a related field is beneficial.
