Our Gaming team is made up of hybrid-casual, casual, and mid-core experts. Our 'Core' games team supports internal and external studios worldwide in creating, developing, and launching new hit games, whilst our 'Live' games team focuses on delivering higher engagement on our existing and successful games.
Joining our Live games team means collaborating with gaming industry experts on globally renowned, enduring games while embracing exciting new entrepreneurial ventures. You will join a new Live Studio focused on Aquapark, one of Voodoo’s most iconic hypercasual hits.
Our ambition is to give Aquapark a second life: preserve what made it successful, improve the quality and game feel, and evolve it into a stronger hybrid-casual / casual live game.
You will be part of a small, lean, and ambitious team with high ownership and fast iteration.
ROLE
As a Product Specialist, you will be at the heart of the game's evolution. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, artists, and product experts to design, test, and refine features that keep our players engaged and entertained.
- Participate in the design and creation of engaging, challenging, and fun levels that maintain player interest and progression
- Develop and iterate on game mechanics and features that enhance the core gameplay loop
- Analyze player behavior, game metrics, and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with engineers and artists to bring level designs and features to life
- Balance game difficulty curves to ensure appropriate challenge and retention across all levels
- Stay up-to-date with the hybrid-casual and puzzle game market, analyzing competitor games and emerging trends
- Test and playtest levels and features to ensure quality and enjoyment
- Work iteratively, rapidly prototyping ideas and incorporating feedback from the team and data
PROFILE
- Strong passion for action hybrid-casual games, with a deep understanding of what makes them engaging and successful
- Understanding of player psychology and what drives engagement, retention, and satisfaction in action games
- Iterative mindset with the ability to rapidly test, learn, and improve designs based on feedback.
- Hands-on approach: comfortable iterating on designs directly in Unity (creating levels in our level editor, tuning parameters, prefabs, configs) rather than only writing specs for others.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven design decisions
- Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate design ideas to cross-functional teams
- Fluent in English
- Experience in: Unity, AI tools
- Bonus: Professional experience in game design, product specialist, or similar role in the mobile gaming industry
- Bonus: Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies, experience shipping successful mobile games
