Role Description The Senior Procurement Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kerala, India, responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for medical and pharmaceutical products. This role includes sourcing and evaluating suppliers, preparing and processing purchase orders, and overseeing purchasing workflows to ensure timely and cost-effective supply. The Senior Procurement Officer will lead contract negotiation with vendors, monitor supplier performance, and maintain accurate procurement records in line with company policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks involve collaborating with finance, operations, and warehouse teams to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, resolve supply issues, and support continuous improvement in procurement processes. The role also includes analyzing market trends, pricing, and data to support strategic purchasing decisions and mitigate risks in the supply chain.
Qualifications
Strong Procurement and Purchasing skills, with experience managing end-to-end purchasing cycles.
Proficiency in handling Purchase Orders, including creation, review, and tracking in procurement systems.
Demonstrated ability in Contract Negotiation with suppliers to secure favorable terms and long-term partnerships.
Robust Analytical Skills for evaluating supplier performance, market trends, pricing, and cost-saving opportunities.
Experience in the medical or pharmaceutical sector, with understanding of regulatory and quality requirements.
Ability to work on-site in Kerala, India, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and competence in using ERP or procurement software.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; professional procurement certifications are an advantage.
