Company Description: Our client is a giant in its domain of PVC pipes and has a JV with a European MNC in the space of water conservation. The JV turnover is now almost 650 crores. They are looking for a production/factory head with experience as under;
Role Description: The Production Head Pune role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. The Production Head will oversee end-to-end production operations, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and monitoring output to meet quality and delivery targets. This role involves leading and mentoring production teams, coordinating with cross-functional departments, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The Production Head will manage budgets, optimise processes for efficiency, track performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Daily responsibilities also include problem-solving operational issues, reporting production status to senior management, and supporting strategic decisions related to capacity and expansion.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
20 years of experience, with at least 10 years heading operations and production in PVC pipe manufacturing.
Candidates should possess strong skills in Production Planning and Production Management to handle end-to-end manufacturing activities and schedules.
Candidates should possess solid Operations Management skills to optimise processes, resources, and workflows for efficiency and quality.
Candidates should possess effective team management skills to lead, coach, and develop diverse production teams and foster a collaborative environment.
Candidates should possess sound budgeting skills to manage production costs, monitor expenditures, and support financial planning.
Relevant experience as a Production Head, Plant Manager, or similar leadership role in manufacturing or industrial operations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and safety.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Degree or diploma in Polymer Engineering, Production, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred. A management degree from a premier institute will be an added advantage.
