Role Description The Design Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position located in the Pune Division. The person in this role will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies, preparing detailed drawings and 3D models using CAD tools, and ensuring designs meet functional, safety, and manufacturing requirements. Day-to-day activities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, reviewing specifications, performing basic calculations, and refining designs based on feedback and testing results. The Design Engineer will also support documentation, revision control, and continuous improvement initiatives, while contributing to product development from concept through production.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Design Engineering and Product Design for industrial or commercial applications.
Candidates should possess mechanical-focused skills such as Mechanical Engineering, including understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and basic structural analysis.
Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, including proficiency in 2D drafting and 3D modeling using common engineering software tools.
Candidates should possess relevant Electrical Engineering knowledge where needed for electromechanical systems and integration with mechanical designs.
Beneficial qualifications include a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline, experience in design-for-manufacture, familiarity with industry standards, and strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
