About the Role
REM OPC is a sovereign creative ecosystem operating multiple internal business verticals (an agency, production house, academy, and real estate asset) under a single legal entity.
We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to manage our day-to-day bookkeeping, reconcile our multi-pillar cost centers, and prepare clean financial data packets for our statutory filing partners.
You will work closely with our Office Apprentice (who manages raw receipts and invoices) and report directly to the core team. You are not required to file statutory returns (which are managed externally), but you are required to ensure our internal ledgers are airtight, transparent, and mathematically bulletproof.

Key Responsibilities
1. Cost-Center Bookkeeping:
Maintain clean ledgers using accounting software (Zoho Books, Tally Prime, or QuickBooks), tracking income and expenses across four distinct internal cost centers (Kabir Nivas, Yellow House, The Fourth Column, and Karkhana Collective).
2. Weekly Bank Reconciliation:
Reconcile incoming and outgoing transactions from our master corporate bank account against raw receipts and invoices provided by the Office Apprentice.
3. Tax Ring-Fencing (GST & TDS):
Immediately isolate 18.00% GST on incoming client invoices into a dedicated tax liability ledger. Track TDS deductions accurately.
4. Profit & Revenue Waterfall Execution:
Execute specific internal profit-routing rules at month-end, including calculating Fourth Column net profit splits (30% Vault, 35% Crew Common Pool, 35% Expansion Reserve) and Yellow House 70/30 allocations.
Compliance Data Hand-Off: Organize and format clean monthly financial packages and tax summaries to hand off to IndiaFilings for timely government filing.
5. The Vault Dashboard:
Deliver a simple, one-page monthly financial snapshot by the 15th of each month, tracking total cash, runway months, outstanding receivables, and tax liabilities.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Education:
B.Com graduate or CA-Intermediate (completed articleship preferred).
Software Proficiency:
Advanced hands-on experience with cloud accounting platforms like Zoho Books or Tally Prime.
Tax Competency: Strong working knowledge of Indian GST reconciliation (GSTR-2B matching) and TDS compliance.
Organizational Rigor:
Exceptional attention to detail, strict adherence to deadlines, and the ability to manage cyclical, batch accounting workflows.
