Junior Interior Designer

Role Description The Junior Interior Designer will support the design team in developing drawings, preparing layouts, and assisting with project documentation. Day-to-day tasks include participating in space planning exercises, creating mood boards and presentations, and helping draft construction drawings under the guidance of senior designers. The role involves coordinating with vendors,contractors,researching materials and finishes, and maintaining organized project files and schedules. The designer will communicate with internal team,contribute to design reviews, and ensure that design standards and client requirements are met. This is a full-time remote role, requiring consistent collaboration through digital tools and adherence to project timelines.
Qualifications
Ability to perform Space Planning and apply principles of Interior Design to create functional, balanced layouts.
Understanding of Architecture concepts and building systems relevant to interior projects.
Skills in preparing and interpreting Construction Drawings for interior layouts, details, and elevations.
Knowledge of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection, specification, and coordination.
Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint).
Strong visual communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow design guidelines and brand standards.
Effective time management, ability to work independently in a remote setting, and willingness to receive and implement feedback.
Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior internship or project experience in interior design is an advantage.
