Role Description The Tailor role at Samaa by Sneha is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Kolkata Area. The Tailor will be responsible for constructing, altering, and finishing garments in line with the brand’s minimal and timeless aesthetic. The garments made by you would be women's western wear. Day-to-day tasks include cutting fabrics, sewing, performing fittings, and making precise adjustments to ensure an excellent fit and finish. The Tailor will collaborate with the design team to interpret patterns and samples accurately, maintain high standards of workmanship, and manage garment timelines.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Tailoring and Dressmaking skills, including cutting, stitching, and finishing garments.
Candidates should possess excellent Fitting skills to take accurate measurements and make precise alterations.
Candidates should be able to handle small batch productions.
Candidates should ideally have experience working with premium fabrics and attention to detail in craftsmanship.
Basic pattern-reading skills and familiarity with garment construction techniques are beneficial.
Prior experience as a tailor or in a garment production environment is preferred.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual sewing and machine work with accuracy.
Salary would be discussed on the basis of experience.
