Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barista role based at Romeo Lane in Chandigarh, India. The Barista will prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based beverages, teas, and other café items according to established recipes and standards. Daily responsibilities include operating coffee equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, handling food preparation for light snacks or accompaniments, and following health and safety guidelines. The Barista will greet guests, take orders, process payments, and provide attentive customer service to ensure a positive experience. The role also involves restocking supplies, coordinating with kitchen and service staff, and supporting opening or closing duties as required.
Qualifications
Coffee preparation and Barista skills, including basic knowledge of espresso machines and beverage recipes.
Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to engage guests courteously and resolve concerns professionally.
Clear Communication skills for interacting with guests and coordinating with team members.
Food Preparation skills with attention to hygiene, safety, and presentation standards.
Ability to stand for extended periods and handle fast-paced, high-volume service environments.
Previous experience in a café, coffee shop, or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Basic numeracy for handling cash, card payments, and order accuracy.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
