Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Control & Instrumentation Engineer role based in Gunupur. The engineer will oversee process control and instrumentation systems for steel plant equipment and production lines, ensuring accurate measurement and reliable operation. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring control systems, configuring and maintaining field instruments, coordinating calibration schedules, and resolving instrumentation and electrical issues. The role involves diagnosing faults, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, supporting commissioning activities, and collaborating with operations, maintenance, and safety teams. The engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by optimizing control strategies, enhancing system reliability, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and procedures.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Process Control and Instrumentation for industrial or manufacturing environments.
Candidates should possess Troubleshooting and Electrical Engineering skills to diagnose and resolve system and equipment faults.
Candidates should possess Calibration skills for instruments and sensors, including planning and executing calibration activities.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, or related engineering discipline.
Experience in heavy industry, steel, power plant, or similar continuous process environment is beneficial.
Ability to interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, electrical drawings, and instrumentation manuals.
Familiarity with PLC/DCS systems, industrial communication protocols, and safety standards is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with effective communication and teamwork skills.
