Senior Automation Engineer

Role Description The Senior Automation Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Ahmedabad Area. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions for industrial applications, including PLC, HMI, and motion control systems. The Senior Automation Engineer will configure and integrate sensors, actuators, and control hardware, and optimize process control logic to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving automation and electrical issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams, supporting installation and commissioning at customer sites, and preparing technical documentation and reports. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with global vendor partners, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across customer projects.
Qualifications
Strong automation and process control skills, including experience with PLCs, HMIs, motion control, and industrial communication protocol
Hands-on troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and field issues in industrial environments.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
Experience in industrial automation for sectors such as pharmaceuticals, packaging, machinery, or OEM equipment manufacturing.
Proficiency with leading automation platforms (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, or comparable systems)
Ability to read and create technical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics, with strong documentation and reporting skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with customers and cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel to customer locations as required for commissioning, support, and project reviews.
