Financial Analyst

Description
The Financial Analyst supports Environ Energy’s procurement revenue and cash collection processes by processing and reconciling supplier commission files, analyzing revenue and collection variances, and resolving discrepancies in partnership with suppliers and internal teams. This role prepares management reporting, maintains accurate contract and accounting records, supports internal controls and company policies, and identifies process and technology improvements that enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience in the energy broker industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sum formulas, pivot tables, etc.); experience with CRM systems and Power BI Reports a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly.
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Requirements
Duties/Responsibilities:
Process and reconcile supplier commission files within the procurement software system to support monthly cash collections and revenue reporting, ensuring commission revenue reported by suppliers is accurately matched to the corresponding contracts.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement revenue reports to identify cash collection variances; investigate material discrepancies and document findings and resolutions.
Collaborate with suppliers to research and resolve cash collection discrepancies, including fee variances, unreported contract revenue, missing or modified service accounts, and unusual usage patterns.
Partner with the Contract Booking team to identify and correct contract errors and omissions within the procurement software system.
Record supplier commission files as invoices in the accounting system and apply payments upon receipt of the related cash.
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and other departments to provide insights and support procurement-related processes and initiatives.
Assist with the preparation of procurement revenue reports and related analyses for management.
Identify and support process improvements, including the implementation of tools that enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Maintain compliance with internal controls, applicable accounting standards, and company policies.
