Vice President of Revenue Management
Core Responsibilities:
Define and lead enterprise-wide revenue management strategy, operating model, and performance agenda across portfolio of properties, brands, regions, and business models
Convert demand, market, and commercial insights into pricing, inventory, forecasting, and business-mix decisions that maximize profitable revenue, market share, RevPAR, and long-term asset value
Develop and execute regional/portfolio-wide revenue management strategies to drive key commercial performance indicators including RGI (RevPAR Generation Index), RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, loyalty contribution, channel mix, and NOI
Drive year-on-year market share growth through strategic pricing, demand forecasting, inventory optimization, segmentation, distribution economics, and total-revenue principles
Establish and monitor portfolio-level performance targets including RevPAR index growth, market share penetration, forecast accuracy, margin improvement, and hold revenue organization accountable to measurable outcomes
Lead forecasting, budgeting, demand planning, displacement analysis, and total-revenue decision-making processes across portfolio; elevate forecasting accuracy and budgeting discipline
Oversee pricing governance, inventory management standards, rate strategy, channel distribution, and revenue system utilization to ensure optimal yield, operational consistency, and revenue maximization
Analyze market trends, competitive sets, booking patterns, demand forecasts, and performance data to drive proactive, insight-led decision-making and early identification of risks and opportunities
Champion ongoing optimization of revenue management systems (RMS), automation initiatives, data analytics, AI-enabled forecasting, and modern revenue technology to drive measurable business benefits
Partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Distribution, and Technology teams to align promotional strategies, optimize business mix, support demand generation, and integrate revenue-adjacent systems
Act as senior revenue management partner to executive leadership, regional teams, property GMs, hotel owners, and asset managers; communicate complex performance topics with clarity and influence decisions
Build strong relationships with hotel owners and key stakeholders, acting as trusted advisor on revenue strategy, topline performance, and owner returns
Lead regional training, capability development, and succession planning initiatives including revenue leadership development programs; build high-performing, future-ready revenue organization
Design and continuously improve global revenue management operating model including roles, service delivery, processes, standards, and ways of working across corporate, regional, and property teams
Drive change management initiatives that strengthen commercial capability and position Revenue Management as strategic business partner across organization
Lead revenue management input into business cases for future property openings, renovations, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives; define revenue projections, market positioning, demand assumptions, and commercial scenarios
Own revenue management performance framework, targets, and review cadence; challenge business performance and ensure clear accountability across corporate, regional, and property teams
Track key metrics including pipeline, bookings, guest satisfaction scores (GSS), SALT surveys, conversion rates, and other industry statistics; continuously monitor revenue metrics with strong understanding of KPIs and drivers
Look for ways to streamline and automate processes to compile and analyze data from various sources and systems (RMS, BI, forecasting, automation platforms)
Support Sales, Marketing, and Operations in creating executive reports, board presentations, and owner communications on revenue performance and strategy
Typical Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Economics, Finance, Data/Analytics, Real Estate, or related field required; Master's degree or MBA strongly preferred
18+ years of progressive revenue management, pricing strategy, demand forecasting, or commercial analytics experience in hospitality, hotels, multifamily real estate, or asset-intensive industries
10+ years in senior revenue management leadership roles (VP, SVP, Regional VP) with multi-property, multi-market, or portfolio-wide accountability
Deep expertise in revenue management strategy, pricing optimization, demand forecasting, inventory management, segmentation, distribution economics, and total-revenue principles
Strong knowledge of hospitality revenue metrics (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, RGI, GOPPAR, TRevPAR) and real estate metrics (NOI, net effective rent, occupancy rates)
Proven track record driving profitable revenue growth, market share gains, and asset value improvement through data-driven revenue strategies
Experience leading revenue management in complex, multi-brand, multi-market hospitality environments (luxury, lifestyle, midscale, extended stay) or multifamily real estate portfolios
Excellent leadership, communication, and executive presence; ability to influence C-suite, property GMs, hotel owners, asset managers, and cross-functional stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to convert complex data into clear choices, actions, and executive-level narratives
Proficiency with revenue management systems (RMS) such as IDeaS, Duetto, Atomize, PriceMatch, OTA Insight, TravelClick/Amadeus, STR, and major hotel PMS platforms (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG)
Technology fluency across RMS, BI, forecasting, and automation platforms; ability to sponsor adoption and value realization of revenue technology investments
Experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams and driving organizational or operating model transformation
Strong financial acumen, disciplined prioritization, and ability to manage investment, productivity, and ROI trade-offs
Certified Revenue Management Executive (CRME) or similar revenue management certification strongly preferred
High integrity, resilience, learning agility, and visible commitment to company culture and responsible leadership
Willingness to travel extensively (40–60%) for property visits, owner meetings, regional reviews, and stakeholder engagements
Key Metrics:
RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) growth and RevPAR Index (RGI) performance vs. competitive set
ADR (Average Daily Rate) optimization and rate strategy effectiveness
Occupancy rates and sell-out efficiency
Market share gains and competitive positioning (STR reports, market penetration index)
Forecast accuracy (demand, revenue, occupancy) and budget attainment
Total revenue optimization (TRevPAR, GOPPAR) including ancillary revenue streams
Channel mix optimization and distribution cost efficiency
Group vs. transient business mix and displacement analysis accuracy
NOI (Net Operating Income) and asset value improvement
Owner returns and stakeholder satisfaction
Team performance, retention, and capability development
Revenue technology adoption and ROI (RMS, automation, AI tools)
Stakeholder satisfaction (executive leadership, property GMs, hotel owners, asset managers)
