Role Description The Billing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Nolensville, TN, responsible for overseeing end-to-end billing operations for the organization. This role manages the billing team’s daily activities, including reviewing and approving invoices, monitoring billing cycles, and ensuring timely and accurate billing to internal and external stakeholders. The Billing Manager maintains and optimizes billing systems, resolves discrepancies, and collaborates with finance, operations, and program staff to support revenue collection and reporting. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing billing data, implementing process improvements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies, and preparing regular reports on billing performance and revenue trends. The role also involves training staff on billing procedures, supporting audits, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the revenue cycle.
Qualifications
Demonstrated proficiency in Billing Process and Invoicing, with experience managing end-to-end billing activities.
Knowledge of Billing Systems, including maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving billing software or platforms.
Strong Analytical Skills to review billing data, identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and support decision-making.
Experience in Revenue Cycle Management, preferably within a governmental, public sector, or regulated environment.
Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead and develop staff, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to ethical and compliant financial practices.
