Role Description The Web Development Intern role is a remote internship designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in building and maintaining web applications. Day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting with front-end and back-end development tasks, implementing responsive designs, and supporting website updates and bug fixes under the guidance of senior developers and mentors. The intern will help test and document features, collaborate on project planning, and learn to use version control and other development tools. This role offers practical exposure to modern web technologies while contributing to live projects in a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess foundational skills in front-end web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React js/Vite) and basic understanding of responsive design.
Candidates should possess familiarity with at least one back-end language or framework (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP) and basic database concepts (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
Candidates should possess experience or coursework in web development tools such as version control (e.g., Git) and package managers or build tools.
Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Enrollment in or recent completion of a relevant degree program (Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field) is preferred but not mandatory.
Prior project work, online portfolio, or GitHub repositories demonstrating web development interest and initiative will be considered an advantage.
