Role Description The Territory Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Pandharpur, responsible for managing sales and relationships within an assigned geographic area. This role involves visiting farmers, distributors, and retail partners to promote Jivagro’s crop protection and nourishment products, provide product demonstrations, and support field trials. The Territory Manager will monitor market trends, gather feedback, and share insights with the regional team to help refine sales strategies and product positioning. Daily activities include planning and executing territory sales plans, conducting regular follow-ups, organizing farmer meetings, and ensuring timely order collection and payment realization. The role also includes coordinating with internal teams for supply, training, and reporting, while maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and sales performance.
Qualifications
Proven experience in agricultural sales, territory management, or field marketing within the agrochemicals, seeds, or fertilizers sector.
Strong knowledge of horticulture practices, crop protection solutions, and plant nutrition will be highly beneficial.
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with farmers, channel partners, and local stakeholders.
Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in the field with regular travel within the territory.
Basic proficiency in using digital tools for reporting, planning, and communication (e.g., MS Office, mobile apps).
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field is preferred; relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Familiarity with the local language and farming practices in and around Pandharpur is an advantage.
