Are you looking to start a career in a professional industry with excellent training and development opportunities?
We're looking for a Trainee Claims Adjuster to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a customer service background who is eager to build a career in loss adjusting and insurance claims.
This is a full-time, fully remote role, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with structured on-the-job training and development.
You'll receive hands-on training, support from experienced colleagues, and the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge while managing claims and helping customers through the claims process.
No previous claims or insurance experience is required. If you're a strong communicator who enjoys problem-solving and delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
How You'll Make An Impact
In This Role, You'll Learn How To:
Manage and progress a caseload of claims from initial notification through to resolution, with full training provided.
Communicate professionally with customers, clients and other stakeholders via phone, email and online systems.
Respond to enquiries within agreed service levels while delivering excellent customer service.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim records and documentation.
Review policy information and support the claims decision-making process.
Clearly communicate claim updates and outcomes both verbally and in writing.
Prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
Ensure all work is completed in line with Gallagher Bassett policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.
About You
Previous customer service experience, ideally in a telephone-based environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Confidence using computer systems and technology.
The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
A positive, flexible and proactive approach to work.
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
The ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
