Financial Analyst

Job Summary
The Financial Analyst, Management Reporting supports Brightspeed's enterprise financial accounting activities through internal and external financial reporting, month-end close, and performance analysis. This role partners with cross-functional business leaders to deliver actionable financial insights, maintain financial models, and support data-driven decision-making that enables the company's strategic and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, analyze, and distribute recurring financial reports, dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and management reporting packages.
Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities, providing meaningful insights and recommendations to leadership.
Partner with Finance, Sales & Marketing, Operations, IT, and other business functions to understand forecast assumptions, drivers and variances, and improve financial accuracy.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close reporting through variance analysis and management commentary.
Maintain and leverage financial accounting and reporting systems, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency.
Assist with ad hoc financial analyses, executive presentations, and strategic initiatives as needed.
Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, month-end close processes, and analytical capabilities through process enhancements and automation.
Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to support informed business decisions.
May perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
3+ years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, financial reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or a related analytical finance role.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
Experience with accounting and reporting systems such as SAP, Hyperion/Essbase, or similar ERP platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information and translate it into actionable business insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification.
Experience in the telecommunications, technology, or infrastructure industry.
Experience supporting enterprise planning, executive reporting, or management reporting functions.
Knowledge of business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Physical Demands & Work Conditions
Primarily office-based work performed in a hybrid or corporate office environment.
Regular use of computers and standard office equipment.
Minimal travel may be required (typically less than 10%).
