Rogue Expeditions creates guided running vacations in destinations around the world. Our small-group trips combine daily runs led by local guides with exceptional food, lodging, and logistics, so guests can focus entirely on the experience.
Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Austin, Texas, Rogue Expeditions operates more than 45 departures each year across 17 destinations in 15+ countries, including Morocco, Patagonia, Japan, the Italian Dolomites, Slovenia and Croatia, Iceland, Ireland, South Africa, Kenya, Mexico, and the American West. Trips are designed for recreational runners of all paces: each day offers a full run of 5–12 miles alongside a shorter option, with guides at the front and back so every guest runs at their own speed.
The company has earned a 5.0 average rating across more than 330 verified guest reviews, and more than a third of our guests return for additional trips. Rogue Expeditions is the Official Trip Partner of Runner's World's Race With RW+ program, hosts signature departures with Olympians Sara Hall and Ryan Hall, and partners with Hood To Coast, TransRockies, and Freetrail on co-branded events. We are a profitable, founder-led company entering a period of deliberate growth, with an expanding trip portfolio, new athlete and media partnerships, and a private group and corporate travel offering in development.
Job Overview
We are seeking a Marketing Lead to work alongside the CEO on growth across all channels. Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, you will support the full growth function — paid media, lifecycle marketing, affiliate and partnership programs, conversion optimization, email marketing, social media, and campaign creative — and be accountable for the results.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role in a small company. You help set the strategy, execute the work, measure the outcomes, and iterate.
The ideal candidate is a thoughtful, disciplined operator who is energized by owning the entire growth engine rather than one piece of it.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and own the annual growth plan, including acquisition targets, channel budgets, and the experimentation roadmap, in partnership with the Founder & CEO.
Plan, launch, and optimize paid acquisition campaigns across Meta, Google, YouTube, and emerging channels, managing audiences, creative briefs, budgets, and bid strategy against cost-per-booking targets.
Develop and test positioning, offers, and landing pages that move prospective guests from interest to booking.
Own lifecycle and retention marketing in Klaviyo, including welcome and nurture flows, trip-launch campaigns, inquiry follow-up, and win-back programs for past guests.
Build and manage the affiliate and partnership channel, working with running clubs, coaches, race organizers, endurance media, creators, and aligned brands.
Maintain tracking, attribution, and reporting so that channel performance and funnel health are visible across the company.
Identify and complete high-value growth initiatives that lack a clear owner, from referral programs to conversion tests to stalled partnerships.
Qualifications
3–7 years of growth, performance, or digital marketing experience, with a track record of progression inside a consumer brand — ideally in outdoor, travel, endurance sports, or direct-to-consumer.
Hands-on expertise in at least two of the following: paid social and search, lifecycle and email marketing (Klaviyo or equivalent), affiliate and partnership marketing, and landing-page or offer testing.
Demonstrated ownership of a marketing budget and a revenue or acquisition target, with measurable results you can speak to in detail.
Strong instincts for messaging and creative, paired with the analytical rigor to measure what works and act on it.
Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, meet deadlines, and communicate proactively with leadership.
A personal connection to running or the outdoors. Our guests are passionate runners, and understanding that community firsthand is essential to this role.
