JOB DESCRIPTION:
Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following indicated work methods.
Makes ready, operates and maintains the Unitizer.
Observes and monitors basic machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed.
Identifies, troubleshoots and corrects product defects caused by the machine.
Performs basic routine adjustments during the shift.
Identifies and makes basic repairs to the machine.
Sets up and operates machine meeting established published specifications.
Ensures all units are completed to specifications including “special instructions” if applicable.
Loads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages product and materials using a forklift, pull packs or other power equipment.
Maintains the facilities’ equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspects and performs minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment. Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following indicated work methods.
Keeps appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assists in physical inventories.
Maintains housekeeping standards all the time.
Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety.
Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
Complies with all IP’s Safety rules and Quality policies and protocols at all times.
Responsible for managing the waste of the department.
Other duties as assigned by managers and or supervisors/shift leader.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Able and willing to perform and sustain productivity goals (keep the line running, zero down time, etc.).
Ability to problem solve with minimal assistance.
Be able to communicate effectively with other employees, supervisors, managers, etc.
Be able to interpret and understand Kiwi Factory Floor Feedback. (Machine line up.)
Be able to read and understand IRF Unit Tracking system.
Must have basic computer skills (data entry, etc.) and be able to perform basic arithmetic including additions, subtractions, multiplications and division.
Comply with all IPs Safety rules and Quality policies and protocols at all times.
Must have ability to learn and understand all operations of the Unitizer.
Must have ability to interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Must have ability to understand and accurately utilize KIWI.
