Role Description
This full-time Oracle Cloud Engineer role is a remote position open to candidates across Latin America, with availability to overlap with Puerto Rico business hours. The engineer will administer, secure, and improve Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments and develop and support integrations on Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for enterprise and government clients. Daily responsibilities include working directly with clients and partners on troubleshooting and requirements, translating discussions into technical solutions, and resolving incidents end to end. The role also involves supporting new Oracle Cloud projects as the company grows and keeping architectures and procedures well documented.
What you will do
Administer, secure, and improve OCI environments, covering compute, networking, IAM, Autonomous Database, storage, and monitoring
Design, build, and support integrations on OIC, including REST and SOAP adapters, orchestrations, scheduled jobs, and error handling
Monitor platform health and integration performance, and drive improvements in reliability, security, cost, and DR readiness
Participate in troubleshooting sessions and requirements meetings with clients and partners, and turn what you hear into technical designs and working solutions
Own incidents end to end, from detection through root-cause analysis and Oracle Support (SR) follow-up
Automate operational tasks with scripting and infrastructure as code
Document architectures, configurations, integrations, and procedures
What we are looking for
3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Experience building and supporting integrations on Oracle Integration Cloud
Familiarity with REST APIs, scripting (Python or similar), and Oracle Fusion Cloud applications
Comfortable in client-facing meetings, able to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
Fluency in Spanish and English
Availability to overlap with Puerto Rico business hours (AST, UTC-4)
Nice to have
Software development experience (web applications, APIs, or internal tools) is a plus
OCI or OIC certifications
Terraform and CI/CD experience
